Ards Allotments is on the Comber Road, one mile outside Newtownards, Co Down, in an area traditionally known as “The Market Garden of Ulster”.
The owners are quite flexible in the plot sizes they allocate, which also both new and seasoned allotmenteers to have a plot size to suit.
With the possibility of plots for disabled in the very near future this allotment is sure to grow and grow.

Public (local authority) or private: Private. But all visitors are welcome to view the plots from a footpath which overlooks and runs past the plots. If you would like to view the plots close-up, please contact the site owner.
Typical size of plots: 18 metres x 6m metres (108 square metres). However, larger or smaller plots available upon request.
Charges: First year charged at £295.00, and £220.00 per year thereafter
Fruit tree planting allowed: Yes, provided trees are on a dwarfing rootstock.
Sheds/glasshouse allowed: Yes
Help available on site: Upon request.
Secure storage: Yes, the boundary of plots is protected with fencing and locked gates secure the entrance.
On-site car parking: Yes
Other amenities on site: Toilet in farm building beside plots. The owner is looking at the possibility of building plots for disabled in the very near future.
