Hydro Farm allotments, Tower, Blarney, Co Cork.

Hydro allotments are part of a private farm between Blarney and Tower Co Cork.

A hidden piece of paradise that even people living in the area may not be aware about.

The allotments are located on a secluded raised site, bounded by trees which form a shelter belt.

Security is not a problem as the allotments are only reachable by private roadway, and Zwena, the allotment owner lives on the farm.

The 5 new plots which were to added next year are now set up due to demand. They are ploughed and ready to go and the first two went yesterday while still being organized!

    Hey there Andrea.

Hi everyone, This was my first web site and it is now a bit out of date. We now have 42 allotments, a very colourful courtyard with barbecue, our tea room has had a facelift, we keep geese, lambs, ducks and hens in the summertime. We are stating our Workshops this year on saturday the 10th. march with a beginners course in growing vegetables and more. The course is run in 8 sessions over 4 months and will cover selecting a site, to making raised beds, to choosing what to grow, to planting and preparing the soil. The course will closely watch the garden grow and everyone will learn as we go. It is going to be a really fun course. It will cost €35 per half day or €200 for the 8 half days. To book please email or call 0872333183. See you there.
